Q1 What are the reporting and monitoring requirements for projects?

A1 The DNCTF and grantees will agree upon measures of performance to monitor grant progress and outline these in the grant agreement, prior to grant implementation. The DNCTF will provide reporting guidelines, timelines, and templates for grantees to support grantee reporting. The Templates that DNCTF will provide to grantees to guide reporting will include the following reports: i. Interim project financial and progress reports, ii. Financial statements and iii. End of project report. Please consult the Grant-making Framework for more details.

Q2 Are there any priority areas: Ecosystem Based, Adaptation, Marine Conservation, Sustainable Agriculture?

A2 Priority Areas are: Protected Areas and Ecosystems, Natural Resources & Commodities and Deepening Collective Knowledge. Please consult the Grant-making Framework for more details.

Q3 Does the fund cover data collection or research projects if they can demonstrate strong base in priority areas or building capacity to address priority areas?

A3 Yes.

Q4 Can single applicants submit more than one proposal for consideration?

A4 No, one organization can submit only one project proposal per Call.

Q5 How does the fund handle intellectual property for project outputs? Does the DNCTF have stake in selected/ implemented projects?

A5 The intellectual property considerations will be specified in the grant agreement. The grantee will share the final products of the grant with the DNCTF, and this will be shared at the DNCTFs discretion for the public good.

Q6 Have you considered any post implementation assessment? If so, what is the follow-up period, how long after the projects have been implemented will we follow up and assess ongoing activities at that time?

A6 Yes. We will monitor implemented projects on annual basis for the period of 5 years post implementation.

Q7 The Concept Note template states a maximum length of 5 pages. Does this limit include the log frame, or is the log frame not included in the 5 page limit?

A7 Limit of 5 pages refers to a description of the project. Log-frame doesn't fall in this limit.
